Course Selections for Incoming 9th Graders
Course Selections for Incoming 9th Graders is now open. Please use the link below to request your courses. Each 9th grade student will take: English, Geogrpahy, Math and PE. All 9th grade students should take an academic elective of either Science or Spanish. We will do our best to place each freshman in their top 2 elective choices. (Starting March 10th)
Welcome Incoming 9th Graders
Can you believe it' s that time of year already? Your 8th grader is going to high school!
First step to becoming a Foothiller is to get your online registration done ASAP. Enrollments from middle school DO NOT roll over to high school. We are an entirely different district.
Step 1: Check your boundaries HERE - this will tell you what high school in our district you belong to.
Step 2: Complete online registration HERE immediately, classes are a first come first serve basis, if your students registration is not complete this can hinder the class selection choices.
Step 3: Make sure all documentation is in, you can send an email to Mnowlen@guhsd.net to see if any documents are missing. Mrs. Nowlen will be on materinity leave starting March 20th - June 6th please email Mrs. Gracia Gregg at ggregg@guhsd.net.
Don't live in Grossmont Boundaries? NO PROBLEM! School Choice is now open. School choice is an opportunity to try and choice your student into Grossmont.
NEW! Starting 2026/27 School Year school choice will be the only option to attend a Grossmont Union High School District school located outside your home address boundary. There will no longer be a Parent Transfer Window or Admin Hardship process. The school choice window has closed. (updated 3.9.2026)
If you live out of Grossmont Unified district you will need to complete an interdistrict transfer. That process starts with your district of residence. More information can be found HERE.
